There has been a big build up going on for weeks over the volleyball match up between Resurrection Christian and Lyons High. Both teams came into the match undefeated, and the winner of the much-anticipated struggle could potentially wind up as league champs.

The Lyons High School football team traveled to Loveland last Friday night (September 26) to take on the league leading Resurrection Christian Cougars in what turned out to be a very tough “cat fight” for the Lions.

The softball team hasn’t had this many wins within their league since 2009. They are now 7-8 over-all, and are 4-6 in the tough Patriot League. Coach Renaldi has really brought together the girls to form a solid team. They are ranked 10th in 3A ball, which will give them an opportunity to head to regional play-offs for a chance to make state.
