Monday was April Fool’s Day however, the weather was not fooling when it was so great Easter Sunday. We hope all enjoyed Easter. The Fire District’s Easter egg hunt with Mr. Bunny was great with lots of kids and lots of prizes. Churches were filled with worshipers happy that the Lord “arose” so many years ago to save us from our sins, and give us something to “look” to at all times. And then, of course, more Easter egg hunts, brunches, dinners with our loved ones, a ride to the hills, games, picnics, etc. An enjoyable day!

Homebirth, as with many modalities of holistic health care, obliges one to be an active participant. In this model, the midwife, pregnant woman, and her loved ones work together as a team. As a midwife I support my clients in this new responsibility and care is individualized to meet the specific needs of each family. Personalized attention is the cornerstone of midwifery care. I share my knowledge and experience so that women can make informed choices. Together we observe pregnancy from a space of trust, addressing general discomforts with holistic options and taking action if medical attention is deemed necessary. The blend of each woman’s self-knowledge, our combined insight, and my clinical skills, provides the guides for creating an optimal pregnancy and birth.
