The Lady Lions basketball team traveled to Louisville to square off against Dawson, a team they beat by two points last year. Both teams sported a three and ten record going into the game. Lyons was looking for an opportunity to break their losing streak, and battled to the end.

Lyons Hoopsters Roll

The Lyons High School Varsity boys’ basketball team posted victories over Union Colony and Alexander Dawson School last week, improving their season record to seven wins, and six losses. The senior trio of Zach Christiansen, Shea Gilman and Justin Gorman continue to lead the team both offensively and defensively. Christiansen and Gilman led the team in scoring with thirty-one and twenty-two points respectively.

Another  week  gone  by. Where does time fly! We are all saying prayers this week due to the severe accident our good friend Rick England was in with driver Iann Clayton up the North St. Vrain by the Stone Mountain Lodge. Both are in the hospital with broken bones.

Here it is, another week gone by. A lot of good music in town always; at Oskar Blues, The Fork, The Stone Cup, Spirit Hound Distillery, and others. You are always invited to attend and enjoy.

HOUSING
The Town of Lyons is getting lined up for the sixty recovery homes on a portion of Bohn Park, although a vote is still required. It is indeed a challenge to give up a part of that beautiful park, but what else? I do want to compliment members of the Housing Replacement Task Force
