Mayor Pro Tem Runs A Tight Ship

By Joseph Lekarczyk

In the interest of full disclosure, let it be known that the author of this article is married to the Mayor.

It was the first “real” meeting for the newly elected Board, where they actually got to “take care of business.” And, things went smoothly for Udovich, once the emergency flashflood-warning test announcement stopped interrupting his efforts to open the proceedings.

For the next daytrip suggestion, I’ll concentrate on historic Georgetown. A long time ago when my husband and I were dating, we’d go skiing then stop on the downhill drive from Eisenhower Tunnel in Georgetown for dinner. By the time we ate a bite, the heavy traffic had cleared away and it was smooth driving into Denver.

Bohn-Fire Cancelled

The Town of Lyons and the Lyons Community Foundation (LCF), after discussions with the Boulder County Sheriff’s Office, have decided to cancel the community “Bohn-Fire” which was planned for this Saturday, April 14. The ban has been relaxed a little in the eastern portions of the County, and with the light snow/rain last week, there was some hope that the ban might be lifted. However, the recent warm, dry, breezy days have evaporated all hope that fire conditions might improve enough to allow the LCF fundraiser.

Ask the Handy Woman!

Procrastination seems to be one of those human characteristics that some of us have perfected more than others. I would count myself among the more “advanced” practitioners of the “art” (as Lora and Joseph can attest, as they wait for me to submit my column each month!).
