Another week gone by; a nice one, hot but not a lot of rain. Everything is green and beautiful. It cools off at night here in Colorado. Ah, a great state in which to live.

Iola “Neice” Smallwood Pralguske, beloved wife and mother, passed away peacefully at the Longmont United Hospital on June 30, her 44th wedding anniversary. She was born on November 20, 1944 in Rock Springs, Wyoming to Marvin Lester and Iola Mae Smallwood.

Seven grandchildren, seven adults, a fiftieth wedding anniversary, and Dixieland Jazz; what more could my husband and I ask for a family cruise? Even though this is our third Alaskan trip, we lucked out to find it a fit with all fourteen members’ schedules. Of course, they make it fit when Mom and Dad provide an all-inclusive party for their first cruise! It will be special in many ways. We leave Seattle June 28, and return July 5. We plan to make reservations for dinner atop the Space Needle the night before we board.

A TERRIBLE WEEK
It has finally quit raining and hailing, however, the big two-inch hailstones seemed to have affected all our roofs again (the last big hailstorm was June 28, 2013). Now roofing contractors are again converging on our town to get business.
