We enjoyed all the spring flowers on Facebook this past week, and know spring has sprung with an array of jonquils, crocus, and tulips all around town, just in time for Easter Sunday. Enjoy them while you can. It is supposed to snow again (this is Colorado after all).

On Saturday, March 28, Lyons Track and Field participated in the highly competitive Longmont Invitational against top competition from across the state. The Lions competed well with approximately twenty-six personal bests and some excellent early season marks, which left a striking impact on the 2A state leader board. The season is indeed looking bright for the hometown team.

Lyons’ junior, Paul Roberts had the opportunity to represent the United States at the IAAF World Cross Country Championships in Guiyang, China this past weekend. The Boulder Office of Emergency Management, in partnership with Boulder County and the City of Boulder, will begin audible testing of the countywide emergency sirens at 10 a.m. on Monday, April 6. Due to the overwhelming costs associated with drug disposal, the Boulder County Sheriff’s Office has suspended its prescription drop off services.
The Sheriff’s Office started the drug take back program in conjunction with the DEA’s program in 2005. They have offered the drug take back service since that time, as DEA also offered a facility to dispose of surrendered drugs. Since the DEA conducted its final drug take back in September of 2014, there is no longer access to a disposal site, nor funding
