Open for Breakfast

Kenyon and Juli Waugh, owners of the Lyons Dairy Bar, are excited to announce that beginning Tuesday, November 3, they will be serving breakfast for all you early risers before your morning commute. The new winter breakfast hours will be Tuesday through Sunday, 7 to 11 a.m., serving breakfast burritos, sandwiches, and bowls (hash browns, eggs, your choice of veggies, and melted cheese). Prescribed Burn At Heil Valley Ranch

Boulder County Parks and Open Space and the Boulder County Sheriff’s Office Wildland Fire Management Program plan to conduct a prescribed burn at Heil Valley Ranch on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday, October 28, 29, and 30. Heil Valley Ranch will be closed completely during active ignition days. The exact closure dates will be dependent on weather conditions. Specific areas will reopen as soon as it’s deemed safe to do so by fire personnel.

The Overlook prescribed burn will cover approximately twenty-two acres and is located west of the Ponderosa Loop Trail (map).

Town of Lyons Oct 26 News

Beginning Tuesday, October 27, Evans Street, from 5th Avenue east to 4th Avenue, and 4th south to Park Street, will be closed daily from 7 a.m to 5 p.m. to through traffic, due to waterline construction for the "Capital Improvements - Confluence Area" project. Local residents will be allowed access to homes.

National Effort To Help Craft Artists

Boulder Arts & Crafts Gallery has joined up with twenty-five other craft-related businesses and artists nationwide for A Season for CERF+, an annual event that raises funds for the CERF+ (Craft Emergency Relief Fund + Artists’ Emergency Resources). All businesses joining A Season for CERF+ make a contribution to CERF+ and share information about CERF+ with their customers, exhibiting artists, and local community.

St. Vrain Community Hub Open House

Boulder County is set to welcome the community to its new integrated, one-stop health, housing, and human services building in Longmont. The county will hold an open house at the new St. Vrain Community Hub, at 515 Coffman Street in Longmont, on Thursday, October 15, from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. The event will feature tours, refreshments, and a ribbon cutting ceremony, which is scheduled to begin at 5:30 p.m.
