Roberts To Compete In China

After finishing in 18th place at Nike Cross Nationals in Portland this past December, Paul Roberts immediately got back to training for his next national competition, the USA Cross Country Championships. Held on Saturday, February 7, at the Flatirons Golf Course in Boulder, Roberts’ aim was to finish in the top six and secure a spot on the China bound USA Junior Cross Country Team.

For the Junior Men’s 8K race, competitors must be under twenty years old, which produces a mix of very competitive college and high school aged athletes. Paul Roberts’ strategy was to run at the front, and by 3K, Roberts even took the lead.
