Disappointing Loss In Final Home Game

By Matt Smith
The Lyons High School boys’ basketball team took a disappointing fall in the final home game of the season. It was Senior Night, and the Lions were led by seniors Logan Watson with nine points, and Senior Chris Lennard with seven points. Seniors Heath Fesenmeyer and Trent Poulsen each chipped in with four points. And, starting for the first time this season, after recovering from a broken leg he

Traveling In Luxury, part 4 La Paz, Mexico

Roads Traveled with Linda L. Osmundson

Each morning aboard ship, I showered and dressed in the dark while Bob slept. In the Lido Restaurant, I chose various items from the buffet and always included a chocolate or berry croissant.

I pulled a chair next to my new friend at the jam session and watched the musicians arrive decked out in shorts. More people crowded the hallway and venue. Again, the upbeat music, silly jokes, and casual friendships created an uplifting

Managing Stress: Balancing Your Vices

By Dr. Sara Hart, ND, MSOM, LAc

It’s a perfect day when you wake up naturally without an alarm.  To arise fully rested, stretch your arms leisurely and yawn.  Pondering with a gentle inquisition, “hmmm, what do I feel like doing today?”  Rather than the rush of too many responsibilities to juggel comfortably.  When fresh vital foods are all that you crave so you make yourself a gorgeous meal to start your day.

About Town - February 13, 2014

Another cold week gone by. Around five to ten degrees below freezing. Several have had their pipes freeze. Be sure to let the water drip a little. Doesn’t take much, but you need some water circulating. We have had a hard winter, and on top of the flood.  Woe is us! (Editor’s note: grammatically, I believe “Woe are we” is correct)
