Lyons Automotive sponsored the great car show during the Good Old Days celebration on Saturday, June 24. All registration fees and donations (a little over $1300 total) were presented to Habitat for Humanity of the St Vrain Valley to help with the construction of the six homes they will be building here in Lyons for people displaced by the September 20143 flood. Chuck Wing of Lyons Automotive (left) presented a check to John Lovell last Friday, June 30.
The Lyons High School girls' basket ball team is having a great season. They upped their record to 11-1 on the season, are tied for first in their league, first in district, and currently ranked #1 among 2A schools in the most recent CHSSA RPI system! This will be important at the end of the season when the seeding takes place for regionals. However, Lyons will have to continue to play well for the rest of league play to have that play-off opportunity. The Lady Lions are just six games away from the district

Over one hundred and twenty Lyons area residents boarded three buses before 7:30 Saturday morning, heading for Denver's Women's March. They joined more than 100,000 people to support rights and protest the election of Donald Trump as the 45th president of the United States.
