It's that time of year to sign up for the Redstone Museum Summer Camp. This year themes are Kitchens & Old-time cooking; 125th year Anniversary of Town and its beginnings. Day program includes daily craft, light lunch, a skit and a giant souvenir scrapbook. Camp is held Aug. 1-5, 9:30 to 12:30 pm. Cost is $50 - with support by Lyons Community Foundations. “Crapfest” A Lyons Tradition

What cyclists would not appreciate quenching their thirst with this stylish metal “Cyclist Cup?” In 1897, one year after the first modern Olympic Games, and six years before the first Tour de France was staged, John Lines of Waterbury Connecticut patented the “Collapsible Cup.” The design made it convenient to collapse the telescopic cup, snap on the cover, place the small box in a pocket, then continue the ride keeping the cup dirt-free. Visit the Redstone Museum at 340 High Street to see this treasure and a facsimile of the patent document. The museum is open daily, Monday through Thursday 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., and Sunday 12:30 to 4:30 p.m.

The Lyons Last Thursdays/Art Stroll, which begins next week on May 26, is a collaboration between the Lyons Arts & Humanities Commission (LAHC), the Economic Development Commission (EDC), the Lyons Chamber of Commerce, various business entities, and the Town of Lyons.
The Town of Lyons, Boulder County and the State of Colorado has observed numerous areas of Myrtle Spurge and other noxious weeds within the Town of Lyons.
