Fall Family 9Health Fair

Hopelight Medical Clinic is pleased to announce that it will host a Family 9HealthFair on October 18. This event is open to the entire community and will offer a variety of free and low-cost health screenings for both adults and children. Now in its 36th year, 9HealthFairs will take place this fall in a dozen locations around Colorado. This is the first time a fall fair has been located in Longmont. Participants will be able to obtain information about their health and discuss any medical questions or concerns

Reflections On The Flood

Tonight when I see her on the bus I am reminded how I now keep snacks in my office and backpack and purse in a fashion I never would have thought of as logical before. I am reminded how a few hundred people are still not back in their homes or have simply moved away. I am reminded how much the 500 year flood of Lyons, Colorado, rocked our world, and I’m reminded how my feelings out of necessity have been pushed aside for a later time and I guess that time is now.

Islands Floats Planning Meetings Aug. 27-29 at Rogers Hall

Town of Lyons Administrator Victoria Simonsen want residents to be aware that scammers are calling local residents and businesses telling them that if they don’t pay their utility bill by credit card over the phone, they will have their utilities shut off.

Left Hand Outdoor Challenge Application Deadline

The Left Hand Outdoor Challenge (LHOC) is now accepting applications for its third season. The deadline for applications is Sunday, August 31. The program is designed for Boulder County area teens ages 14 to18, and seeks to teach them about various careers in natural resources as well as to develop new outdoor skills.
