It is not easy to be a softball player in Lyons. The Lady Lions are a 2A school playing in a 3A league. Not only do they have to compete against bigger schools with a greater student population, they play in the best 3A league in the state.
With four of the top 3A teams competing within the league, it is not surprising that the Lady Lions are struggling. At 4-10 on the season, it is still possible that they may make Regionals due to the strength of schedule, but they will need to win at least one more

Willow Farms will be holding a benefit for Levi Davis, a 3 year-old Longmont native who lost his mother, Megan Davis, last year. The event will be held on Saturday, October 10, 2016 starting at 3 pm. All funds raised will go to Levi’s college education.
