This is an exciting week. We attended the first flood commemorative gathering hosted by Boulder County at Gateway Fun Park in North Boulder on Sunday, with various maps, papers, videos, programs, and a performance by the Playback Theatre. Really nice, several folks from Lyons were there. It was very heartwarming.

What a great way to start off league play, with all three Lyons teams (C, JV, and Varsity) scoring wins over Front Range Christian. The C team got things started with a hard fought two-set win, 25-19 and 26-24. The JV team then dominated their match in two sets as well, winning 25-11 and 25-5. Freshman Sarah Stevelinck was on fire from the serving line scoring thirteen straight points for the young Lions, and finished with ten aces for the night.

Seeing this need, a group of parents from LCM began working together to start a new Montessori-based preschool. Heartened by the community’s optimism and emboldened by the size of the task at hand, parents got to work.
