Calling All Bakers!

Calling all bakers, chefs, cooks, and pie makers. Now is the chance to get a little community recognition for your culinary skills! Mindy and Sam Tallent, owners of The Stone Cup, are pleased to announce their annual pre-Thanksgiving pie baking contest fundraiser to be held on Sunday, November 22. The proceeds will be donated to help fund the Lyons Christmas Parade of Lights festival on the first Saturday of December.

LCF 2015 Grantees

The Lyons Community Foundation (LCF) held a get together Tuesday evening at the Axe & Oar Restaurant to announce and honor the organizations, nonprofits, and groups that were awarded grants for the 2015 cycle. Drug Collection Box At BoCo Sheriff’s Office

The Boulder County Sheriff’s Office is able to once again collect unwanted medication through a drug collection box. The Drug Enforcement Agency and the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment are assisting with the funding for the destruction of the collected medication, which is allowing us to offer this service to the community.

The drug collection box is available to the public during normal business hours, Monday through Friday from 8 to 5 p.m., at the Sheriff’s Office Headquarters, located at 5600

BoCo Election Day Unofficial Results Update

The Boulder County Elections Division has finished tallying the results for 85,211 ballots for the 2015 Coordinated Election and has posted preliminary unofficial results on their website -

Annual Lavender Gala

Boulder County Area Agency on Aging is hosting the 15th Annual Lavender Gala on Saturday, December 6, from 1 to 4 p.m., at Nissi’s Bistro (2675 North Park Drive in Lafayette. Each year, the Lavender Gala is held as a celebration for the Boulder County LGBT community who are age 60 and better, along with their friends, families and allies.

Real Barnburner - 13th CANiversary!

Friday, November 20, will mark Oskar Blues’ 13th CANiversary and another in our great Barnburner concert series at Oskar Blues in Lyons. Tickets are $15 in advance, or $20 at the door. This show will consist of Musketeer Gripweed and Hot soup. Changes To Parking In Boulder Civic Area

The City of Boulder today announced an enhanced parking program in the Civic Area, which will take effect for the public on January 15, 2016. The goal is to balance an improved Civic Area design with better access to the Boulder Public Library and other municipal buildings for both community members and city employees.
