Fire Ban For Western Boulder County Rescinded

At 10 a.m., on Monday, October 5, Sheriff Joe Pelle rescinded the fire ban that had been in effect since September 22, for western Boulder County.
The current weather pattern and predicted future weather conditions have offered relief to the warm, dry September. Both short and long term forecast models indicate a return to normal fall weather conditions. In addition, local fuels and fire conditions are stabilizing back to normal

Washington Songbird Returns To The Cup

Radio Station magazine recently called a concert with Jill Cohn, “an evening of Folk Americana bliss,” and her soul-stirring voice in combination with lush arrangements, toe tapping road songs, and heart-string tugging ballads had the Los Feliz Journal (Los Angeles) naming her album a 2012 top 10 indie pick. Superheroes To The Rescue!

The Lyons Elementary School PTO wants to thank the entire community for their heroic efforts in support of our Jog-A-Thon fundraiser. The Superhero themed fundraiser called many heroes to action and we had record-breaking results.  

As a school, we ran more laps than ever! The students were zooming around the racecourse with their capes flying.  We collectively ran about 6,000 laps, which is equivalent to about 300 miles.
