Lyons Automotive sponsored the great car show during the Good Old Days celebration on Saturday, June 24. All registration fees and donations (a little over $1300 total) were presented to Habitat for Humanity of the St Vrain Valley to help with the construction of the six homes they will be building here in Lyons for people displaced by the September 20143 flood. Chuck Wing of Lyons Automotive (left) presented a check to John Lovell last Friday, June 30.

While eating whatever you wish without worrying about the consequences can be detrimental to your health, healthy eating does not have to be about eating foods you do not like. Revamping your eating can be about the satisfaction of taking care of your health, in addition to enjoying what you eat. Eating well isn’t expensive if you do it right. You don’t have to have a fancy dehydrator or juicer in your kitchen to eat healthy. You don’t need fancy kitchen gadgets to eat right.

The Board of Trustees (BOT) held a pre-meeting workshop Monday evening to “conceptually” discuss their desires and ideas for a request for proposals (RFP) for the development of Lyons Village East (aka the Eastern Corridor; aka the ten-acre decommissioned waste water treatment plant recently purchased by the Town of Lyons from the City of Longmont). The consensus among the Trustees seemed to be, follow the guidelines set forth in the Comp Plan, make the request broad enough not to dissuade nor favor any particular developer (large or small), but, to put a fine enough point on it so that potential developers will understand what the town wants and needs in the realm of future development (i.e., hotel, affordable

On June 18, of this year John was driving to work when a vehicle swerved into his lane causing a high speed, head-on collision.
