Dear Editor,
We own the home at 411 Park Street in the confluence area. We are currently renting a home in Lyons and are waiting for the 404 buyout.

Sometime in the past couple of weeks humans came into our Park Street property and took from us our stone wood store hearth. It weighs several hundred pounds. They stole it from our driveway in front of our garage door where it sat since being removed from our destroyed home. You see it was waiting to go to its new home

Asking For A New Housing Commission

Editor’s Note: Ms. Reinholds served on the Lyons Housing Recovery Task Force from December 2013 through its end in February 2015. She is currently a member of the Lyons Human Services and Aging Commission. She has lived in Lyons for eleven years and in the surrounding Lyons area since 1995.

All that has been accomplished in the past week related to affordable housing is that the group asking for a new affordable housing commission got on the agenda for the April 20 Board of Trustees meeting.
