I remember many years ago, learning how to make beer in a wooden vat (approximately six feet long by three feet wide and four feet deep) with copper tubing deep in the bowels of 303 Main Street many years ago. Then Dale (Oskar Blues founder Dale Katechis) showing me how to put it in a can, one beer at a time, and explaining to me why aluminum can was a superior way of packaging beer.

Following voter approval on November 4, of tax funding for the Lyons Regional Library District, the District’s Board of Trustees at its November 6 meeting moved into the initial stage for planning a new library/community resource center.
The Library District Board first reviewed the final voting results, which were 1096 in favor, and 939 opposed (a 54% to 46% margin). Board members were pleased with the large turnout, a 31% increase over 2013, when a
