Islands Floats Planning Meetings Aug. 27-29 at Rogers Hall

Rumor has it that some islands have started to work on their floats for the Lyons Islands Parade already. Other islands aren’t there yet. No matter which, everyone interested is invited to come to one of the planning meetings to meet others, to sign up, and to exchange ideas.

Town of Lyons Administrator Victoria Simonsen want residents to be aware that scammers are calling local residents and businesses telling them that if they don’t pay their utility bill by credit card over the phone, they will have their utilities shut off.

Left Hand Outdoor Challenge Application Deadline

The Left Hand Outdoor Challenge (LHOC) is now accepting applications for its third season. The deadline for applications is Sunday, August 31.
