Western Washington University (WWU) is proud to announce that Lyons resident and LHS class of 2009 graduate Rebecca Rae Ortega (daughter of Ron and Cathy Ortega) received a $1,000 Women of Western Scholarship Endowment for the 2012-2013 academic year. Women of Western provide scholarships based on academic achievement, leadership qualities
and the need for financial assistance. Special consideration may be given to students who are direct descendants of a Women of Western member.
