Fire At Greenbriar Inn

On Thursday, December 19, at 8:15 p.m., Boulder County Communications received a report of a structure fire at the Greenbriar Inn. Upon arrival deputies were informed the fire was contained in the bar area and was possibly inside the walls of the structure. The staff and guests had been evacuated from the structure. No injuries were reported.
The Greenbriar Inn is a long-standing establishment consisting of two buildings. The original structure was built in 1873 and functioned as a post office, general store and residence. This structure is currently used as a bar area. In 1967 an addition was added onto the original structure and was turned into a restaurant.
