Lyons Has Its “Pulse-On” The Game

By Gary Gorman

The Estes Park Bobcats came down the hill to John “Jet” Johnson Field last Friday evening, and brought with them a nip in the air. However, the Lyons quarterback/receiver  tandem of Logan “Sling’em” Watson and Trent “Catch’em” Poulsen was about to get warmed up, and put the Bobcats on the hot seat.

A Lion’s Sweep of Individual and Team Titles

By Renée Haip

Lions Battle Cougars At Home

By Kari Basey
The Lady Lions volleyball team faced their strongest competitor yet in Resurrection Christian on Thursday, September 6.  Historically, matches against this school have been hard fought battles often involving a fifth and final set; this year was no exception.

The Lyons team this year is an interesting mix of five senior leaders, four talented freshmen and one strong sophomore and junior.  The team is loaded with defensive players in seniors Joelle Holst, Genna Gibson and Rebecca Weglarz.  Setting duties

In its 13th year, the St. Vrain Cross Country Invitational has become one of the largest, and most highly anticipated meets of Colorado’s high school cross country season.  2543 runners representing 102 middle schools and high schools from around the state gathered on a cloudless morning to test themselves on the Lyons home course (a 5K for high school and two miles for middle school).  Members of the Lyons community joined forces to help volunteer with everything from parking to concessions to
