Lady Lions Drop Peak to Peak Game

By Phil Aumiller

For the second Saturday in a row, the Lady Lions staged a rally in the sixth inning, only to come up short.  Battling back from a 6-run deficit after two innings, the Lions chipped away with two in the top of the third and three more in the top of the sixth, but were turned away in the seventh, and lost 7-6 to the Peak to Peak Pumas in Lafayette.

Madison Myers got the Lions on the board in the top of the first by beating out a chopper off the plate with two outs.  She advanced to third on Madeline Wallace’s single to right, and then scored on a wild pitch.
