Join BMA, REI and Boulder County Parks and Open Space as we celebrate National Public Lands Day on September 25 by helping construct the new Benjamin Trail, a multi-use trail that will eventually connect to the existing loop trail at Betasso Preserve.
You will use hand tools to build new trail through forest groves and open meadows while enjoying spectacular views and fresh mountain air.This project runs from approximately 8:30am until 3:30pm. Due to steep and rugged backcountry terrain, this project will be physically strenuous.
Volunteers will meet at the Boulder County Justice Center at 8:00am (southeast corner of Canyon and 6th in Boulder) and then take a bus to the project worksite. A continental breakfast will be provided by R.E.I. in the morning as well as lunch provided by BMA.
