Dear Lyons Community,
I am not one to brag; I mean do you call it bragging when Muhammad Ali said, “I am the greatest”? I have however, won the red chili grand prize in the annual Lyons Garden Club Chili Cook-off two out of the last three years.

Not a day goes by that we do not hear how severe this “Great Recession” has wreaked havoc on our nation’s economy. To many experts, it reflects how deeply our new global economy is interconnected in this new age of globalization. In the past, these connections had more to do with how the various states coordinated their respective efforts with the direction of the national economy. In today’s modern world, the United States can no longer operate in a vacuum, so to speak.
