Youth Summit In Meadow Park

A group of young adults from the Youth Summit (sponsored by the National Trust for Historic Preservation) visited Lyons last Saturday. Electric Rates are Going Up

In the interest of full disclosure, let it be known that the author of this article is married to the Mayor.

Correction: In the Board of Trustees article of two weeks ago (January 9), I inadvertently left out the word “not” when reporting that Trustee Dan Greenberg expressed concern about the impact a contemplated electric base rate user fee increase would have on users who were currently in their homes. The sentence should have read, “not currently in their homes.” I apologize to Trustee Greenberg and our readers for any confusion and misunderstanding this caused. Considering there was a public hearing on a purposed electric base rate increase on the agenda, there wasn’t much of a crowd at Tuesday night’s Board of Trustees (BOT) meeting.
