Excitement is building in the Catholic community of Longmont and surrounding areas as the Archdiocese of Denver’s Bishop Conley, church parishioners, and friends prepare for the ceremonial groundbreaking at the construction site of the new St. Francis of Assisi Church. The ceremony will be held at 9:30 a.m., on Saturday, September 3, at the 14-acre site, located on Pike Road just west of Airport Road.

Perhaps it was the crisp fall-like weather, or maybe it was the added day of rest, but Tuesday night’s (Monday was Labor Day) Board of Trustees (BOT) meeting was fast paced.
