Dear Lyons Community,
Although this has been a very difficult decision for me, I would like to announce that I will not be running for another term as Mayor. My work commitments have heated up over the last year and just before the flood I was finalizing discussions on a new job that would have required me to resign before my term ended. When the flood hit, I dropped those plans to finish out the term. But, I know I cannot make another two-year commitment at this point in my life.
Before the end of this Board’s term we will have seen town through the emergency and immediate recovery stage, with a clear road map of community priorities through the Lyons Long Term Recovery Action Plan and hopefully a reasonable financing plan will be in place to fund those priorities. Even
