As energy costs continue to rise, help is available for Boulder County residents who struggle to pay their winter heating bills. LEAP, the Low-income Energy Assistance Program, is accepting applications now through April 30, 2014.

Boulder’s Nutcracker Gives Back To Local Schools

Boulder Ballet and Boulder Philharmonic are giving back to the Boulder Valley and St. Vrain Valley School Districts through their in-school ticket-sales program. Through this program, schools receive 20% of the proceeds from all tickets sold from their school. In past years, the total has amounted up to $7,000. This year, sales are nearly at $4,000 and are expected to increase through Friday.

Proceeds will be announced and checks will be given to representatives from each school this Saturday, November 9 at 5:30 p.m., at The Dairy Center for the Arts.  At a time when funding for public schools is in need, this program is a tremendous benefit to the entire community.
