The Lyons Area Chamber of Commerce (LACC) presented representatives from the Lyons Garden Club (L to R) Anne O’Brien, Ann Marie Mikoni, Joycelyn Fankhouser with the 1st Annual “Spirit of Lyons Award.” The award was created by the LACC to recognize the contributions to the community by an individual or organization by reflecting, in modern times, the manner in which our founding families created a community in this valley. The Lyons Board of Trustees (BOT) passed the first reading of an ordinance Monday night that would grant the gas franchise for the Town of Lyons to Xcel Energy for the next twenty years.
