I-25 Express Lanes Carpool Requirements Have Changed

Carpool requirements on the I-25 Express Lanes recently changed with the start of toll collection on Phase 1 of the US 36 Express Lanes. The change, which took place on July 22, requires drivers on both highways to get the new switchable pass to travel in the Express Lanes for free as a carpool.

Correction
In the article below, about the BOT titled Crime, Noise, & Taxes, I wrote “Greenberg wants more public input, and he suggested the increase be three quarters of one percent (0.75%).” Trustee Greenberg stated that, “there has been discussion of raising the rate three quarters percent and that I would like more discussion from the Board and hear more public input.” I am sorry for misquoting Trustee Greenberg, and for any confusion and it caused the public.

West Nile Virus In Boulder

Boulder County Public Health officials have confirmed that mosquitoes in a mosquito pool in Boulder have tested positive for West Nile virus (WNV). The positive pool came from traps located at the city of Boulder: Stazio Ballfield and Christensen Park. Positive mosquito pools have been confirmed in five other Colorado counties this year: Denver, Jefferson, Larimer, Pueblo and Weld counties.

Blue Dream Opens

Blue Dream, a new gift store located in the Lyons Village Central Plaza on East Main Street opened last week, just in time for the arrival of the Festivarians for RockyGrass. The shop will specialize in local art, greeting cards, hemp products (T-shirts, hats, etc.), as well as glass pipes and other paraphernalia. Store manager Roderick Moreland says he also plans to carry items aimed at the many outdoor enthusiasts who live in the area, including a waterproof 110-watt speaker system that can be mounted on your kayak!
