The Boulder County Commissioners announced the recipients of six Sustainability Grants in the following Boulder County communities: Longmont, Lyons, Nederland, Jamestown, Boulder ,and Lafayette. According Boulder County Coroner Emma Hall and the Boulder County Sheriff’s Office, Boulder resident Michel Van Duym, age forty-six, was stuck and killed while riding his bike through Lyons last Saturday evening (May 11) at approximately 5:11 p.m.

LYBSA Softball Tournament
The Lyons Youth Baseball and Softball Association is hosting the seconnd annual Boys 9-10 Recreational baseball tournament, sponsored by local Lyons Business Somkin’ Dave’s BBQ and Taphouse. Eight teams form Lyons and Longmont will be playing in a preseason tune up tournament May 18-19 at the Bohn Park Ball Fields. There will be 100+ players participating along with 200-300 spectators over the two-day period.
