The filming of the movie, “Dear Eleanor,” here in Lyons during the last couple of weeks caused a bit of excitement around town. Large crowds showed up at the Lyons Village Central Plaza last Wednesday to watch the filming, and maybe catch a glimpse of one of the stars.

The Boulder County Commissioners announced the recipients of six Sustainability Grants in the following Boulder County communities: Longmont, Lyons, Nederland, Jamestown, Boulder ,and Lafayette. Race officials estimate that over fifty thousand people turned out on Memorial Day to participate in the 2013 running of the Bolder Boulder.

According Boulder County Coroner Emma Hall and the Boulder County Sheriff’s Office, Boulder resident Michel Van Duym, age forty-six, was stuck and killed while riding his bike through Lyons last Saturday evening (May 11) at approximately 5:11 p.m.
