The Lyons Board of Trustees (BOT), before a packed house (by budget meeting standards) of two private citizens, approved the 2013 Town budget in fifteen minutes with nary a peep from those present. Lyons Runners Continue To Shine

Although the high school cross-country season is over, the Lyons cross-country  runners continued to shine at the annual Longmont Turkey Trot last week. Not content to rest on their laurels (the boys won State, and the girls came in second), the podium was littered with Lyons runners, in fact, six out of the top eight finishers in the 2-mile event were Lyons High runners.

The “Thin Mints Exception”

Thank goodness the Board of Trustees (BOT) decided to postpone their regularly scheduled  November 19 meeting and public hearing on the 2013 Town budget until November 26, after the Thanksgiving holiday, to ensure that more citizens would be in town, and able to voice their feelings about how the Town’s tax revenues are spent. Oh, wait a minute, no one showed up at the public hearing anyway! Never mind.
