Surprisingly, eight citizens and two Trustees showed up at Monday evening’s Planning and Community Development Commission (PCDC) meeting. Not surprisingly, six of the citizens were there to talk about unexplored options (the banning of cultivation, infusion, and sale of medical marijuana) the Town might consider. Unfortunately for those six hearty souls who had braved the frigid temperatures instead of watching the Auburn/Oregon game, medical marijuana was not on the agenda. What was on the agenda were possible amendments to the Town’s annexation procedures.
Arctic winds blew in six to nine inches of snow over the weekend, finally giving Lyons the look of a winter wonderland. Temperatures dropped into the single digits at night, but things should be warming up by the weekend.

In a special meeting on Monday night the Lyons Board of Trustees (BOT), per regulations by the State of Colorado, adopted the Town’s budget for 2011. On
