The results are in, and the judges and people have spoken.
The judges put defending champ Olivia Cope back at the top of the podium in the pumpkin pie category (Amber Fuhrmann nabbed second, and Eva Lennert took third). The people agreed completely.

Town Hall will be closed Thursday, November 26 and Friday, November 27 in observance of Thanksgiving.

It was a pretty “vanilla” Board of Trustee (BOT) meeting Monday night. No ordinances to pass, one mandated public hearing with no speakes, a single resolution, and a special events permit to serve liquor at River Bend. Even the one item on the agenda that could have been riveting, a hearing by the Board of Ethics, became essentially a non-event when Trustee LaVern “Hillary” Johnson elected to “cop a plea,” and admitted to sending an email to a Town staff member that contained some information

The Lyons Community Foundation (LCF) held a get together Tuesday evening at the Axe & Oar Restaurant to announce and honor the organizations, nonprofits, and groups that were awarded grants for the 2015 cycle.
