Beginning tomorrow, November 1 at 7 a.m., the Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT) will close eastbound and westbound US 36 in the town of Lyons. The lane closures will begin at mile marker (MM) 21 just east of the State Highway 7 (SH) intersection and extend to MM 22 south/east of the SH 66 intersection. Lane closures will be in place 24/7 as an upgraded water line is installed through the area.

After a lengthy pre-meeting workshop with Town Staff on the 2013 budget Monday night, the Board of Trustees (BOT) got off to a late start for their regularly scheduled meeting. Despite the delay, the Trustees and Staff were optimistic that they could wrap up the light agenda by 7:30 or 8 o’clock. However, with an agenda item concerning the compensation scale for Town of Lyons employees, it was not to be.
