An anonymous chalk artist created this “Lyons Gothic” especially for the Outdoor Games, which were held last weekend. The sidewalk mural showed the iconic couple with kayak paddle and racing bib, and was located on the south side of Sandstone Park (near the Post Office). Unfortunately, all chalk art is ephemeral, and this masterpiece was washed away with Tuesday’s pre-dawn rainstorm.
