Simonsen says she has been keeping up with recent Town business through e-mails and the newspaper, and has identified getting to work on the salary schedule for staff as one priority. She also wants to keep the process going for the approval and adoption of the Comprehensive Plan Update, which is scheduled for early March, the completion of the landscaping on the Main Street Project, once the weather gets warmer, and she is ready to get “pro-active” with looking at the budget. And of course, between now and April 9, when the temporary moratorium for the issuing of business licenses for medical marijuana dispensaries expires, she will have to get up to speed on what the State of Colorado is doing, and the direction Lyons will go on that issue. That’s a pretty full work schedule.
