The Board of Trustees (BOT) met Monday night (December 9) for a 2014 budget workshop and then held a special meeting to take care of a couple of year-end house cleaning chores (certain items that the State of Colorado mandates by year’s end), and to hold a few public hearings on 2014 budget matters.
The first public hearing concerned a resolution setting aside reserve increases, designating and defining enterprise funds, and declaring emergency reserves. By state law the Town must set aside TABOR funds (three percent) and by policy, the Town sets aside three months of operating expenses in the general fund as their reserve.
