As principal of Lyons Middle/Senior High School, I want to thank you for being our partner in education. Lyons has always been committed to advancing academic excellence for our school. This commitment was the foundation for our dedicated staff to create college credit opportunities
that are fundamental in preparing graduates for success in an ever-changing global economy.
Lyons Middle/Senior has always focused on building long-lasting partnerships with parents, businesses and community leaders to provide expertise and resources that enhance the educational setting. Through a strong partnership with Colorado State University (CSU), we now offer rigorous online college coursework to our high school students. A partnership of this caliber allows students to apply a foundation of rigorous curriculum to postsecondary experiences that support college readiness.
This partnership is centered on a “blended learning” model where students enroll in CSU online courses, taught by CSU professors, and facilitated daily by a qualified Lyons High School teacher. Furthermore, all of the CSU online college courses offered through Lyons High are part of the guaranteed transfer agreement and are accepted at every post-secondary institution in the state of Colorado. These college credit opportunities are made available to students at an affordable rate through district concurrent enrollment funding and the Lyons High School Education Foundation. Feel free to contact me if you are interested in donating to this foundation.
This unique opportunity is made possible by the high-quality teachers and staff who are dedicated to fostering an individualized learning environment for our students. Our teachers are committed to providing academic support during the school day, as well as support to students at athletic games, music events, or club competitions such as MESA and Robotics.
Our community is proud to be a part of St. Vrain Valley Schools. We are a district of high achieving schools, supported by highly engaged parents and community partners, and a high functioning Board of Education.
