Kenyan Japheth Ng’ojoy and Nuta Olaru of Romania took first place honors in the men’s and women’s (respectively) 2011 Lyons 5K River Run on Sunday. Ng’ojoy, who trains in
Greeley, crossed the finish line in a time of 15:37, easily out distancing twenty-year old LHS alum Andrew Roberts (of the “Running Roberts” fame, his dad is the track & field coach, and all his siblings either run for or will run for [we hope] the LHS track team).
