Dear Editor,On Saturday afternoon, May 14, my husband Pat Ward was involved in a head-on collision about a mile up highway 36. Even though vehicles were totaled, lives were not. We would like to thank the responders from Lyons Fire, George’s Towing, Pridemark Ambulance, and especially Boulder County Sheriff deputies Stuart Holt and Gary Robinson for their professionalism at the scene and following this horrific accident. Both drivers sustained non life-threatening injuries. Deputy Robinson went above and beyond the call of duty. His shift was just concluding when the head-on collision was aired. He stayed on duty to lend assistance. After going off duty, he came back to the hospital to stay with us and brought us home following discharge. Thank you to all who came to Pat’s rescue.
Sincerely, Pat and Bobbie Ward
