If you’ve been thinking you’d really like to get the old heap spiffed up and decorated for the Lyons Parade of Lights, but you just can’t bring yourself to drive all the way over to Longmont or way down to Boulder to the car wash . . . Well aren’t you just a “Lucky Chucky,” because Neil and Connie Sullivan over at the St. Vrain Market have got their car wash re-opened and up and running!
Sullivan says the walls have been painted (with mold and mildew resistant paint no less) the lights work, the water is hot, he’s got wax, he’s got a vacuum, and he’s got a change machine; just about everything you need to wash your car (except the girl from “Cool Hand Luke”). The price starts at $1.50 (four minutes) and goes up to $2.25 depending on what cycle (pre-rinse, soap, rinse, wax, etc.) and how long you need. What a deal! And no more schlepping to outlying municipalities! The line will be half way down Main Street on a Saturday morning.
