However, we are finding  that recovery takes a lot of time, expertise, volunteering, and, of course, money, so we have to be courageous and Lyons Strong!

Mail in ballots go out next Monday and Lyons voters face what will be the most critical decision about investing in our recovery. You will have received a blue sheet in the mail notifying Lyons voter of a ballot issue (ballot question #1) to borrow up to $995,000 from the FEMA Community Disaster Loan program.

Coroner’s Office Needs Experience Not Excuses

County Coroner Emma Hall finally released the office’s annual reports for 2011 and 2012 this month, both delayed, she said, because of antiquated and sometimes inaccurate computer systems. That sounded more like an excuse than a reason to me.
