Dear Lyons community:
Based on continued feedback from the community, the Lyons Board of Trustees identified exploration of a possible swimming pool among its priorities for its two-year term. This is not meant to raise expectations about actually being able to build a community swimming pool, but rather to initiate the background work necessary to ask the questions of whether a pool might be possible, what type of pool, how could it be funded, and where it might be placed.
A scope of work of the task force has been agreed upon between myself, the Chair of the Parks and Recreation Commission, and the Town’s Parks and Recreation Director.Â
