Editor’s Note: Nick Angelo’s Numbers were based on the non-certified results.
Twenty three people made the difference in regard to the ballot initiative! That is not a lot, but in a democracy, that’s enough! Twenty eight people could have voted to deprive patients of their medicine, hard working people of their jobs, and business owners of their livelihood. But they didn’t, they gave it a little more thought and allowed the concept of tolerance to rule for the day. At this moment, I am very proud of our little Town!
We have the ability to now come together as a community, really come together. We have important issues to address to make this an even better place to live. I still dream of a Recreation Center/Senior Center concept, where one of our six year old geniuses continually beats Sapan at chess and where we can gather together to offer our ideas to one another and thoughts to one another in a respectful and loving manner.
What a Board of Trustees we have to move us forward for the next two years! There is a continuity factor that has been met, and our new Trustees will do just fine.
THANK YOU – THANK YOU – THANK YOU!
Very Humbly Yours - Nicholas Angelo – Former Mayor, Town of Lyons
