The Lyons HS after prom party at the Longmont Rec. Center on Saturday was a HUGE success. All the kids had a great time and as the after prom organizer, I owe a big thanks to so many. My chaperons who stayed up all night with
me: Ann Arling, Bonnie Meyers, Deb Melani, Jodi Bashor, Mary Byrd, Nicki Raspotnik, Pam Solman, Sandi Englhorn and Teresa Hoffman, thank you ladies!
The food, what can I say? So many businesses went above and beyond to donate food: Mark Myers with Noodles and Co., Anita Gray with Oskar Blues, and of course Subway in Longmont. What a spread. The most successful activity: pottery! Thanks so much Joe and Sherry Laurienti. A big shout out to Best Buy for setting up two stations for the kids to enjoy; Deb Jukich, Lyons HS French teacher, for running the poker table and all her work on prom; Hannah Valadez, can’t wait to see all the photos you took; Michelle Gilman for assisting in ticket sales, and King Soopers made a $20 donation, how great.
To all the parents who donated money, desserts, and juices, what a wonderful group of parents we have at Lyons HS. Ann Cisar at the schools front office, what can I say.?Without you, I would have been lost. Last but not least, Sandi Englehorn, who in my opinion has given her heart and soul to the Lyons schools for over a decade. You have been such a big help to EVERYONE! The school will have a huge hole to fill next year. You deserve the volunteer award. I enjoyed working with you over the years. If I missed anyone, I thank you as well.
