Hermit Park Open Space to Host Boy Scouts of America 100-Year Celebration Fall Camporee

The Larimer County Department of Natural Resources is excited to host the Longs Peak Council, Boy Scouts of America celebration of 100 Years of Scouting at a Fall Camporee, September 24-26, 2010, at Hermit Park Open Space just outside of Estes Park.  Larimer County and Longs Peak Council staff and volunteers have worked together for over a year to plan this historic event.  Attendance is projected to be between 800 and 1,200 scouts, leaders, and parents.

Typically the Longs Peak Council, Boy Scouts of America have eight Fall Camporee Events held by districts (in each community) where several troops come together and participate in scouting skill activities.
